- Why do I need to scroll horizontally to see the whole screen?
- Your computer monitor may be set to a low resolution. CobblestoneOnline.net is designed to display optimally with a screen resolution of 1024 × 768. If you are a PC user with Windows 95 or higher, you can adjust your screen resolution by clicking Start » Settings » Control Panel » Display » Settings and adjusting the Desktop Area.
- I can't seem to use all of the features. What could be wrong?
- You may be using a very old version of an Internet browser that can't handle more recent developments in page delivery. CobblestoneOnline.net will work with almost all browsers; however, some incompatibilities with older browser versions are inevitable. You can upgrade your browser for free by visiting the homepages of either Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer. If you are accessing CobblestoneOnline.net on a shared terminal, please check with your systems administrator before downloading any new programs or upgrades.
- How do I search the archive of articles?
- Please refer to our Search Tips page.
- Are the articles available in a hard-copy format?
- Almost all of the articles are drawn from past issues of our various magazines. The first line of the header at the top of the article indicates from which magazine the article was drawn, followed by the year, then the month of publication. (For example: Calliope, 1997-05-01) All issues still in print can be ordered by calling Customer Service at 1-800-821-0115 (603-924-7209 for non-U.S. callers) Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., EST. You may also place your order online at www.cobblestonepub.com, just follow the links to "catalog." Back issues may be ordered as single copies ($6.95 each, plus S & H) or as class sets (25 or more of the same issue, $6.25 each, plus S & H). S & H is 12% of the total order with a minimum of $3.00.
- How do I order the issue from which the article I'm reading is drawn?

- How can I print an article without having the search bar down the left-hand side?
- In the upper right-hand corner of the article header, there is a link to "Printer Friendly Version." Click there to have a view of just the article.
- Can I make the text bigger?
- Adjust your browser options to display a larger font. (The procedure for adjusting font size will differ between browsers and among the different versions. Please refer to your user's manual or the browser's Web site for more detailed help.) Please note; however, that increasing the font size may change the format of the page (alignments, etc.)
- How did you come up with the search and browse categories?
- The search and browse categories are based on the National Frameworks.
- How complete is the database?
- CobblestoneOnline.net includes articles from all back issues, including those that have gone out of print. The current year is not in the database.
- How often is the database of articles updated?
- It is updated annually, so the most current year is not available.
- Can I access CobblestoneOnline.net from any computer?
- Yes, as long as that computer has Internet access. However, please bear in mind that each account has a limit on how many individuals may be logged in at once. Please visit www.cobblestonepub.com/cobbonline.html for multiple-user options.
